Of more than 250 participating organizations, Diveheart has been selected to be promoted prominently in video news releases, etc. “LJAF just keeps on honoring Diveheart, first by selecting us to be part of their Giving Library, and now again, as one of the featured organizations during their launch,” said Jim Elliott, president/founder of Diveheart. “We are delighted that they’ve recognized the positive impact that we have on the lives of children, adults and veterans with disabilities.

The Laura and John Arnold Foundation has released an online library to help philanthropists make informed and impactful decisions with respect to giving. The site is an innovative online library dedicated to providing information about hundreds of non-profit organizations through easily digestible video formats. Philanthropists may also communicate directly with participating non-profit organizations through the Giving Library’s Connection Center.

Diveheart, a volunteer-driven 501 c3 organization offers scuba diving opportunities and adventures to children, adults and veterans with disabilities. Diveheart was accepted to participate in the Giving Library after a thorough application process. “The professionalism and passion of everybody involved in this initiative is so inspiring,” said Elliott.

Laura and John Arnold made public their dedication to philanthropy with the establishment of LJAF in 2008 and the signing of Bill Gates’ and Warren Buffet’s Giving Pledge in 2010. The creation of the Giving Library is another step forward in their commitment to charitable giving. As reflected in their Philosophy of Philanthropy, the Arnolds seek to help other donors become as engaged, collaborative, and strategic about charitable giving as the Arnolds personally strive to be. The Giving Library is a tool, but it also serves as a call to action for strategic, thoughtful philanthropy.
