David Doubilet Gives Presentation at Town Hall in New York City
This is a great opportunity to see amazing images and to learn from a photographer that has done over 70 stories for National Geographic. David started taking underwater photographs at the age of 12. He estimates he has spent nearly half his life in the sea. In 1971 he photographed his first story. It was on garden eels in the Red Sea. This article was for National Geographic. He became a contract photographer for the magazine in 1976 and continues to produce work for them.
The event is being put on by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). NRDC President Frances Beinecke will introduce David. NRDC is an environmental action organization that uses law, and science to protect the planet's wildlife and wild places. They are supported by 1.3 million members, and Worth Magazine named them one of America's 100 best charities. For more information go to http://www.nrdc.org/
Online ticket sales for the David Doubilet have ended. If you would like to attend, tickets may still be available at the Town Hall Box office. Visit http://the-townhall-nyc.org/ for more information.
